Terms and Conditions
1. Eligibility & Application
- Prioritisation: Harp rentals are primarily reserved for current Harpitree Music School students.
- Right of Refusal: Harpitree reserves the right to decline any rental application at its sole discretion, without the obligation to provide an explanation.
- Documentation: All new renters must complete, sign, and submit the official Harpitree Rental Agreement Form before a harp can be released.
- Minimum rental period is 3 months.
2. Rental Rates & Student Discounts
- Student Rate Eligibility: The "Student Rate" applies strictly to current Harpitree Music School students who are actively enrolled in and attending lessons.
- Loss of Discount: If a renter discontinues lessons at Harpitree Music School, the Student Rate will immediately cease, and the standard public rental rate will apply for the remainder of the rental period.
3. Rental Deposit & Returns
- Notice Period: Renters must provide a minimum of one (1) month’s written notice prior to returning the harp.
- Deposit Refund: The rental deposit will be refunded in full upon the return of the harp, provided that:The harp is returned on time with no missing accessories (e.g., tuning keys, covers, or straps).The harp is free from major dents, structural damage, or cosmetic defects beyond standard, reasonable wear and tear.
- Late Fees: (Recommended Addition) Failure to return the instrument by the agreed-upon date without prior written extension will result in additional daily or monthly rental charges.
4. Rental Credit Scheme (Rent-to-Own)
- Applicability: Rental credit earned during the lease period can only be applied toward the purchase of a full-priced, brand-new harp.
- Exclusions: Rental credit is strictly non-transferable and cannot be used toward the purchase of:Second-hand or used harps.Special student promotional offers.Any discounted or sale-priced harps.
5. Care, Maintenance, and Liability (Recommended Addition)
- General Care: The renter agrees to keep the instrument in a climate-controlled environment, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity.
- String Replacement: Standard string breakages are the responsibility of the renter. Strings must be replaced with the exact brand and gauge specified by Harpitree.
- Loss and Major Damage: In the event of theft, total loss, or severe damage requiring professional repair, the renter remains fully liable for the market value of the instrument or the total cost of repairs.
