A 4-Week Intro to Cello for Kids

Give your child the chance to discover the deep, rich tones of the cello! This 4-week introductory course is designed specifically for young beginners to explore the instrument in a fun, high-energy, and supportive environment.

What's included

Over four weeks, our mini-cellists go from "zero to hero," learning the absolute essentials of the instrument:

• High-quality lessons from a senior tutor (value up to $360)
• All lesson materials provided — no need to buy a book ($20 value)
• Lessons in our beautiful, open studio space
• Plenty of fun along the way

What they'll learn

• The Big Sound: How to pull a beautiful tone from the strings right away
• Musical Play: Engaging rhythm games and simple melodies that build confidence
• The Basics: A gentle introduction to sitting with the cello and holding the bow correctly

Cello logistics

To make sure every student is ready to play from Day 1, each child brings their own cello to every session. Having their own instrument helps them get comfortable with its specific size and feel, both in class and at home.

Sourcing a cello can feel like a big step, so we're here to help. A limited number of cellos may be available to hire at an additional cost, or you can rent from a local music shop. Please contact us as early as possible to check hire availability.
